Store Based Automation is a compact version of Ocado’s Customer Fulfilment Centre technology, designed to fit within or next to customer facing stores, which turns existing store space into automated, high-throughput zones. Addressing the constraints of store capacity and additional labour required for picking, it transforms the economics of pick up — where customers collect their orders — and home delivery from the store.
