Most systems lock you into a single pick mode for every aisle, for the whole of your warehouse. With Ocado IQ, you get two intelligent pick modes, running concurrently across your site. Pick modes are configured by aisle, using factors like aisle width and position, product density and velocity, and task type.

Pick-to-Light technology for order accuracy

With Chuck AMRs, Ocado IQ powers built-in light strips that guide associates step by step. As your associates place items into containers or totes, the right section lights up so there’s no second-guessing.

Scanned the wrong item? The bot flashes red instantly, catching mistakes before they move downstream. Lights are also used to signal priority Chuck AMRs or Porter AMRs to alert associates during induct and picking.

Smart Bypass - a setting to skip bot logins and meet points

A site-wide setting that can be layered onto Sweep or TagTeam. This setting allows:

Direct-to-pick routing, bypassing the need to sync with a bot at designated meeting points
Bypass the badge-in process at each new bot

Smart Bypass keeps operations flowing smoothly by helping associates skip unnecessary steps, reduce walking and lessen cognitive load in certain conditions. It’s typically best for wide, low-density, lightly trafficked aisles.

Ocado IQ supports both our Chuck and Porter AMRs, as well as our Mobile Fulfillment App.

Is your picking interface available in languages other than English?

Our software (cloud dashboards and on-device AMR software) currently supports user-specific languages including English, Spanish (Mexico), Czech, Dutch and Polish, with new languages added regularly.

Not only can the default language be set uniquely for each user, but managers can temporarily override the language when they need to help associates complete tasks, then revert to the associate’s preferred language when done assisting.

Does my WMS or WES system work with your software?

We’ve designed the entire OMRS solution to easily communicate with all leading WMS and fulfillment systems, supporting vertical lift modules, scanners, auto-baggers, and more.
